Last updated 29 September 2026. This policy covers the Nova Helix app and novahelixai.com, both run by Nova Helix.
The short version. Nova Helix runs entirely on your own computer. Your conversations, memories, files, and screen contents never leave your machine and are never sent to us. The only personal data we ever hold is what is needed to take a payment, and that part is handled by Stripe.
1. What the application collects
Nothing. Nova Helix does its AI work locally, using models stored on your device. In particular:
- Your chat messages and the assistant’s replies stay on your device.
- Stored memories, observations, and anything the assistant sees on your screen stay on your device.
- No usage analytics, telemetry, or behavioural tracking is transmitted to us.
- One exception, stated plainly: when Nova Helix starts, and when you open its plans page, it sends a single small “wake-up” request to our store server so that buying is quick. That request carries no personal data – not your name, email, conversations, licence or machine details – only the fact that a copy of Nova Helix is running.
- A second exception, also stated plainly: when you activate a licence key inside Nova Helix, it sends our store server the licence number, the key’s own signature and a random device number, so we can count the devices on your plan (Free: one, Pro: three, Ultra: five). It sends nothing about your computer or about you. The same request, in reverse, is made when you choose “Sign out on this device”. Nova Helix never contacts the store in the background and never re-checks a licence after activation.
- No account is required to install or use the Free tier.
If you turn on an optional feature that fetches information from the internet, that request goes straight from your computer to the website concerned. We do not proxy it, log it, or see it.
2. What we collect when you subscribe
If you buy a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. From Stripe we receive only:
- your email address;
- which plan you bought and whether the subscription is active;
- a Stripe customer and subscription identifier.
We never receive or store your full card number. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own payment page and handled under their security standards. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
3. This website and cookies
Google Analytics, only if you allow it. novahelixai.com uses Google Analytics (Google LLC) to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It does not load until you choose Allow on the cookie banner; if you choose No thanks, it never loads. If you allow it, Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* (kept up to 2 years) and receives the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not use Google’s advertising, remarketing or ad-personalisation features. See Google’s privacy policy.
Visit counts on our own server. We also count page visits with Independent Analytics, which runs on this website’s own server, sets no cookies, and does not identify you or share anything with third parties.
Other cookies this site sets:

- Sign-in cookies, only if you create an account or sign in to this site.
You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings. The buy links hand you over to Stripe’s checkout page, so card details are entered there and never here.
4. Why we hold it, and for how long
Your email address and subscription status are used only to issue your licence, deliver it to you, and honour renewals, cancellations, and support requests. Records of purchases are kept while your subscription is active, and afterwards where accounting and tax rules require it. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing.
5. Software updates
The application may check whether a newer version exists. That check reveals only that some installation asked. It does not transmit your identity or your data, and an update is never installed without your action.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Deleting your data ends any active subscription, because we can no longer identify your licence. Data held on your own computer is yours alone. You can erase the application’s memories at any time from inside it, and uninstalling removes its local data.
7. Children
Nova Helix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
